I have been changing diapers for more than 12 years straight. I vaguely remember a week before my 3rd daughter was born that my second daughter was out of diapers (and then regressed anyway). So I would happily get rid of the diapers if we could, but as we sat down to a spaghetti dinner with friends yesterday & my husband mentioned the diapers, I realized that I would gladly get rid of the diapers, but I’m not sure I could part with wet wipes. They have become such a part of my life, that a 20-year-old me would be completely shocked at…lol!
Reasons I will always have wet wipes
We actually almost dressed Shiloh in a white dress before eating spaghetti….. We opted for black instead. My sweet OCD daughter could not handle having the slightest bit of sauce drip, so the wipes were right next to me.
Doggy Potty Training
Our puppy is struggling with potty training….. yuck.
It seems that no matter what age kids get to, they still pick their boogers. I’m totally waiting for some of them to outgrow this. Shiloh, however, has never explored in her nostrils. For which I am exceedingly thankful!
It will never fail that I get my kids dressed to go out and they will find some kind of dirt, somewhere and stick their hands into it.
Juice pouches & Coffee
Flexible boxes or pouches and squeezy little hands. Whoever thought of that combination should have also been tasked with an included clean-up method. I gave the kids juice pouches while we were out running errands a few days ago and one of them managed to sit on the pouch and squirt it all over her sister’s outfit. Not a happy moment. Add to that the fact that I need lots of coffee to get through the day with these juice box squeezing kids….
No matter how much they say that they clean them, I rarely feel comfortable having my food served on them without wiping them off myself.
Those things never get cleaned. Sure, they offer wipes at many stores, but not all and more often than not, the container for the wipes is actually empty. Probably because so many other people want to clean their carts.
Sick-people germs on everything
Kids have terrible hygiene. Adults often aren’t much better. Sneezing, coughing. Yuck. I’m not a germ-a-phobe, but I still can’t handle the thought of all those germs spread places where I’m going to need to touch.
One of my girls is a fingernail biter. Which means that her hands are constantly heading toward her mouth. We’re in the process of helping her with that, but in the meantime, I want to make sure her hands are clean before and after.
I live in the land of hot summers and it seems like 2 seconds after you head outside you are sweaty, stinky, and just plain yucky. (No, I couldn’t think of a better word…. blame my constant conversations with little kids…) Just don’t try to keep them in your car when it’s that hot because they will evaporate.
Of course, I don’t want to be carrying around a big canister of wipes for cleaning messes… So when I go to Wal-Mart, I get Wet-Nap® Cleansing Wipes. They come in a convenient 110-count package which also means I can clean lots of messes.
Visit Walmart for all your Wet-Nap® needs: 110-Count Hands, Face, & Body Cleansing Wipes, 24-Count Packettes Antibacterial Hand Wipes and 40-Count Canister Antibacterial Hand Wipes.
