I’ve shared several activities that we have done with one bag of foam farm stickers and now I have one more. It seems like no matter what I do, I can’t finish off those stickers. Jesus may be blessing & multiplying my stickers… Even with this activity, the 5th activity, I still have more stickers left in the bag. And that includes the night that I let the kids have a free-for-all with them and make sticker collages. This DIY animal matching game for preschoolers is a perfect addition to the awesome learning activities we have done over the past month or so with these stickers.
Materials needed to create your own animal matching game:
To create the animal matching game, draw a grid on the card stock to create 12 squares.
Place one sticker on each square. You will need two squares for each kind of sticker that you use.
I used two pieces of card stock and 12 sets of 2 stickers to create a total of 24 cards.
Shiloh is not ready to understand a traditional game of memory, but she is starting to figure out how to find matches. So, when we do a matching game, I just randomly spread the cards out on the floor face-up.
She finds cards that match and places them side by side.
You can also use these cards for a memory game if your child is ready for that.
