Fall off the Bone Ribs

I have struggled most of my adult life with how to make perfect ribs. Ribs that will fall off the bone when you are trying to pick them up. Ribs that fall off the bone so we don’t look like cave men while eating them. I have tried so many different recipes found online and in cookbooks, however, after many attempts and no one eating the leftovers, I admit, I failed. After much trial and error, I think I have found a keeper. These are fall off the bone, succulent, juicy ribs. I don’t use just BBQ sauce anymore and I have a secret weapon.

These ribs are sweet, salty, juicy, and easily fall off the bone. These are so tender and are sure to be a great crowd pleaser! You may want to make extra because these ribs won't last!A couple of years ago my wonderful mother bought me that beautiful secret weapon. A Wolfgang Puck pressure cooker! As I read the recipes I was astounded at all you could do in a pressure cooker. You can cook a whole, frozen chicken within 45 minutes. That, to me, is music to my ears…but not my taste buds. I will find a way to perfect that, but that’s another story.

Ingredients for Fall-off-the-bone Ribs:

2  Slabs of pork baby back ribs

1/4  Jar of BBQ sauce

Chicken salt spice blend

1 Jar of Hawaiian style sweet and sour sauce (reserve some for baking)

These ribs are worth getting messy for! They fall off the bone and in your mouth!

How to make Fall Off The Bone Ribs:

Cut the slabs of ribs in half and place in pressure cooker.

When you place them in the pressure cooker, place them so that there is space between each slab. Criss cross the slabs if you need to.

Sprinkle with chicken salt spice blend, 1/4 jar of BBQ sauce and 3/4 jar of Hawaiian style sweet and sour sauce.

Put the top on the pressure cooker making sure the pressure valve is closed and cook on meat setting for 30 minutes. (Follow the directions for your pressure cooker.)

When it is done cooking, allow the steam to escape and check your ribs.

If they are not tender put the top back on, close the pressure valve and cook for an additional 20 minutes on the meat setting.

When they are done, release the pressure valve and allow all the steam to escape, take them out of the pressure cooker and place the ribs on a cookie sheet.

Then, baste them with the remaining Hawaiian style sweet and sour sauce. Place them in the oven at  350˚F for about 15 minutes.

These ribs will leave your tastebuds begging for more!
