Clip cards for beginning blends and digraphs that you can use in your literacy centers. Black & white version included.
2 Versions of clip cards are included:
Circular clip cards:
Students will use a clothespin or paper clip to show the two pictures on each card that have the same beginning sound as the blend/digraph in the center.
By alternating the use of clothespins and paper clips students will use different fine motor skills.
For an additional challenge, label the clothespins with the uppercase letters for the students to match. You will need 2 of each beginning sound.
Pages 4-12: Beginning Sound Clip Cards
Square clip cards:
Students will use clothespins or paper clips to indicate the matching blend/digraph on these clip-cards.
Pages 13-20: Clip Cards for blends (two for each sound)
Pages 21-22: Clip Cards for digraphs(two for each sound)
Black and white cards on pages 23-42.
I recommend printing on card stock and/or laminating these pages for durability. An alternative is to put the play dough, matching pages, and alphabet magnet pages in page protectors, so that they are reusable.
For the PH digraph, clip art is limited, so words with a medial PH sound are included.
