Free Printable LEGO Charades Game for Kids
There are few things that bring our family together more than LEGO. My girls can play with them for hours and everyone comes out alive. This is a huge challenge with four kids.
This exciting LEGO Charades Printable Game is a great way for younger kids (and parents) to get creative and have fun playing together. Whether building a candle, guessing the word with only two bricks or clucking like a chicken (I claim no responsibility for this phenomenon), your family will love this game!

Recommended Grade Level:

Materials Needed for the LEGO Charades for Kids Printable:
- Scrapbook paper
- Laminating pouches
- Laminator
- LEGO® Classic Bricks
While we have a tremendous amount of LEGO, we chose to only use one box of LEGO Classic bricks for this easy charades game to add to the creative challenge.
Also because we didn’t play in the playroom and I didn’t have a desire to step on LEGO in our creating room/my office for the next three decades…reality, folks…
By using only the classic bricks we were able to keep the majority of the bricks on the table and not under my feet.

Plus, it’s a fun, creative challenge to use a set amount of bricks. Make a book without a hinge, sure! Make an elephant without all gray bricks, absolutely!
Act out the word or phrase with some creative LEGO building while the other player guesses for game night, birthday parties or anytime you need a creative boost.
We absolutely love these easy charades for kids!!

We love LEGO Classic! Each set includes classic LEGO bricks, a mix of special pieces and ideas, to help you get started, so your child will have everything he/she needs to be inspired.
Houses, vehicles and animals are all possible with LEGO Classic, as your child discovers his/her creative building skills.
And because LEGO Classic spans so many different age groups (my 5, 8, 11 and 13 year olds all love them!), there’s fun for all the family and imagination for everyone.

Before getting started with the game get your creative juices flowing with this fun Pro Tip from LEGO Master Builders and the Upright Citizens Brigade experts:
“Warm up to building. Building can be satisfying and fun even if it’s simple. Try a tower-building exercise to get your creative juices flowing.
Take a pile of bricks and build a tower of any height or width – your only constraints are to start and end with your favorite color. Why? Building is intuitive. A sure-fire way to unlock your creativity is to just start clicking bricks together. Giving yourself a simple exercise with one or two guidelines is an easy way to get started.”
Once you have those creative juices flowing, start playing!
How to play Charades for Kids:
Prep: Print the LEGO charades cards for kids on the white side of scrapbook paper (this will make it so other players can’t see through the cards and cheat.) Laminate and cut apart the cards.
Ready To Play: Place the charades word cards in a pile face-down on the table. Choose a person to start.
Draw one card from the pile without showing it to anyone else.

Use the LEGO bricks to create what is on the card. There are things like: bread, milk, candle, elephant, bike and lots of other great LEGO charades ideas for kids!
The rest of the players try to guess what is being built, just like in a traditional game of charades when everyone would guess what is being acted out. And your LEGO mini-figures might make an appearance to help act out a card.

Start guessing right away. This is half the fun!
With two bricks snapped together…. Is it a spaceship? Character from your favorite fairy tales or TV shows? Is it a monkey?
Is it a chicken? (This is how the chicken dance happened….)

You can choose to play in teams if you would like with one teammate creating and the others guessing or make it non-competitive like we did and everyone guesses and go around the table to take turns building.

There are so many fun cards that are easy to act out with your LEGO bricks, you won’t want to stop playing!
