Free Pom Pom Fine Motor & Color Mats for Spring
Today, we are sharing ideas for learning with pom poms! I love all the ideas that have been shared and I’m sure you will too. You can find the other posts at the bottom of this one. Here, on Life Over C’s, I’ll be sharing a fun way for learning colors with pom poms!

Recommended Grade Level:
Materials for the Fine Motor Pom Pom Flowers
- Paper
- Glue
- Pom Poms

Just like we did with our Earth pom pom activity a few days ago, the kids matched the colors of the pom poms to the colors on the picture. I also made a version that is a color by number activity, so the kids can color it and then add the pom poms.
This is great for building hand-strength and fine-motor skills. It was actually really good for my 1st grader who has been struggling with her writing skills. Squeezing the glue bottle really worked her hand muscles.
For my preschooler, we worked on color names. She wasn’t very interested in participating today, but she did add a few of the pom poms to the picture.
My 1st grader did love it. Of course, she knows her colors, so she was doing it mostly for the fun-factor.
