Frequently Asked Questions

These are frequently asked questions about the Uppercase Letter C Craft:

Is there a certain order we should teach the letters in the alphabet?

Research has shown that children learn best when things connect and have meaning to them. Teaching the letters in a child’s name is a great way to connect them to something meaningful.

What kind of glue should I use?

The great thing about this project is that it’s versatile. While glue sticks are less messy and easier to control, liquid glue, glue dots and tape will also work.

I’m afraid to give my child scissors. Any ideas?

It’s important to teach children about scissor safety. Teaching them how to use scissors is like teaching them how to do anything else; baby steps and modeling. Show children how to properly hold scissors when walking and model how to place open and close scissors while cutting. Safety scissors can be purchased that are a reasonable option for younger children. If all else fails, feel free to precut the pieces for your child.
