We’re still working hard at fractions with my 5th grader. A few months ago, I shared a fun pizza fraction pack with you and it was so popular that I decided to make a new pack for Earth Day. My girls had a lot of fun playing with this Earth Day equivalent fraction free printable pack! I’m sure your kids will love it too.
Included in the Earth Equivalent Fractions free printable activity pack:
Spin & Cover (2 versions)
Equivalent Fraction flip books (2 versions)
Rissa is just getting started on equivalent fractions since we started school so late this year. For this pack I included the most common fractions: fourths and thirds.
These activities are super simple to put together. From printing to ready to use in less than five minutes.
Spin & Cover
Print on card stock and/or laminate
You will also need one brad and a paper clip plus whatever you would like to use to cover up the earths as you play.
To play independently, simply cover the earths as the fraction or equivalent fraction is spun.
To play as a game, using two kinds of ‘chips’ to cover the earths, take turns spinning the spinner, and whoever covers the most earths wins.
Two easy to assemble flip books to work on identifying fractions. There is one book for fourths and one book for thirds.
For a challenge staple the pieces on in a random order. Then, as your student reads the book they will need to match the picture to the actual fraction.
Great fraction practice for Earth Day!
