This flower scavenger hunt mini-book was so much fun!! Shiloh, my preschooler, didn’t want to stop looking for more flowers. We even got the book out again when my husband came home from work so that she could show him all the flowers that she found. This flower scavenger hunt doesn’t focus on specific flowers, but rather on colors, sizes, and locations. This was the perfect level for my daughter.
Materials needed for the Flower Scavenger Hunt Mini-Book:
Paper or card stock
Laminating Pouches (optional)
Laminator (optional)
To prep: Print and laminate the flower cards or print them on card stock. My daughter is pretty rough on paper, so we opted to laminate. Plus, that means that we can use the cards multiple times. (I promised we’d go on a walk tomorrow to look for more flowers!)
Punch a hole in the upper left corner of each card and put the flower cards onto the book ring to keep them together. We did have some issues turning the pages with the 1 1/2 inch book ring we used, so I recommend 1 inch or smaller.
After our book was ready we got out our “Spy glasses” and set out to look for our flowers. If I had planned a bit better I would have brought our magnifying glass because Shiloh is getting really good at looking closely at the plants in our yard.

We looked for BIG and small flowers.
Our neighborhood is full of flowering trees right now and Shiloh loved spotting them. (Side note… I may live in the most beautiful neighborhood ever. *wink*)

Yellow, orange and white flowers.
We headed next door to spot some beautiful red tulips!
And Shiloh’s absolute favorite…I’m surprised that there are any still growing since has picked so many… purple flowers. Aka-Berries, according to Shiloh anyway.
We even found flowers inside the house! Thanks to my lovely daughters who bought me daisies at the farmers’ market last weekend.
We had so much fun with our flower scavenger hunt and I know you will too!
