Baking with my grandmother was always one of my favorite memories. She made the best fudge, hands down! As my children get older, I’ve been sharing these special recipes with them in hopes that my grandmother’s memory continues for future generations. A super easy (and adorable) holiday treat that we love is our Christmas reindeer snack crackers. The ingredients are simple, but can also be substituted with other foods. Our treat could be great for a holiday party or as a tasty holiday gift.

Try different variations of candy to represent reindeer faces. Christmas M&M’s, white chocolate chips, and mini peanut butter cups. Yum!
Cookie Creations
Use vanilla wafers, Oreos, gingersnaps, or chocolate chip cookies to make the reindeer head.
Antlers Galore
Instead of using pretzels twists, try pretzel sticks for straight reindeer antlers. Mini candy canes, candy corn, or Bugles can be used as well.
Reindeer Snack Cracker Recipe Frequently Asked Questions
Can I make this in advance?
While making the reindeer snack before serving would be best (and freshest), the snack could be made a day or two in advance. Store in a clear container, away from heat.
Is this treat healthy?
Substituting candy with dried fruits or nuts can increase the nutritional value of the snack and lower calories, cholesterol, and sodium. Plus, fruit and nuts can be a great source of fiber.
What if my child has a nut allergy?
No problem! There are so many other options that can be used instead of a nut butter. Try icing, cream cheese, marshmallow fluff, jelly… the possibilities go on and on.
