How Do I Prepare These Pumpkin Time Telling Clip Cards?

Preparing this activity is super easy, and if you do it right, you will be able to reuse it again and again with your children! Print, cut out, and laminate your time clip cards.  You don’t have to laminate them, but I HIGHLY recommend that you do if you want to get multiple uses out of this activity!

If you want to make this activity self-checking (trust me, you do!) then put a sticker, dot, star, or another symbol on the back directly behind the correct answer.  This will help with building independence in your students since they will be able to see if they have answered the clip cards correctly without you having to check their work.

There is no preparation necessary for your clothespins, but it is so easy to make clip cards fun with some themed clothes pins if you want to! It becomes a brand-new activity without much effort. I usually grab some at the Dollar Spot or a craft store when I can use a coupon.

Another amazing thing about clip cards is that once you have shown kids how to use them one time, they will pretty much know how to use clip cards for the rest of their lives without instructions!  For this activity, it is as easy as reading the clock and clipping the clothespin onto the correct match!

Show your child how to clip the clothespin onto the digital time that matches the analog clock picture that is on the card.  Then, show them how to flip the card to the back and check their answer (if you made the cards self checking!).
