Our Most Popular Counting Activities
Counting Cards Numbers 1-10
Our themed counting cards are a great introduction to counting for your preschoolers. They clearly show the numeral and number word, but the focus is on one-to-one correspondence in an array giving preschoolers a solid foundation of numeracy before moving on to ten-frames, independent counting, handwriting skills and other more advanced skills.
Number Counting Mats
Number Mats are a much more comprehensive counting activity while still keeping kids engaged and having fun. The multi-sensory opportunities of play dough and small manipulatives provide lots of ways to work on fine motor skills. There are also options of filled ten-frames (for one-to-one correspondence) which are great for preschool and empty ten-frames for more advanced independent counting in kindergarten.
Our play dough counting mats provide lots of ways to differentiate for kids who need more practice or support, but can also challenge kids who are ready for a higher level of counting.

There are endless ways to use these themed counting grid games. You can start with simple one-to-one correspondence and naming the number as the child places a themed manipulative on the grid. Or you can use the included number dice to practice counting within 10, 20 and 100.
Roll and Count Dice Games for Kids
Roll and Count dice games are one of our favorite ways to work on numeracy skills. Start simply by using the dice to count a single-digit number, use a 10-, 12- or 20- sided cube to count even higher.
Once the kids are ready for more of a challenge use two dice or our favorite jumbo double dice from Learning Resources.
